The Cheshire Police force wrote on Facebook: “FRAUD WARNING: Watch out for these fake Netflix emails that want your login details and payment information!”
The scam is trying to get bank details as well as log in information for the streaming service, said police.
The email claims that customers which receive it have problems with payment to Netflix. It then asks for log in details or warns people they will be blocked from using the service, popular for programmes.
Police have warned not to respond.
